We do already miss the sun and everything about Barbados :(
This is a perfect place for a family to stay in Barbados. The apartment is spacious, very comfortable and spotless. Moreover, it is soulfully and lovingly furnished and decorated in the theme of the sea and turtles with original art works by three generations of its talented and artistic owners.
You have everything you need in the apartment, inc. a very helpful guidebook to all important sights and activities in the area. For example, following Holly’s recommendation we went snorkelling with Neville, and as guaranteed we swam with the magical turtles and saw shipwrecks sorounded by beautiful corals and sea life.
The white sandy Dover beach with its clear turquoise water, is a minute away. It’s great for swimming and watching the glorious sunsets.
Very good restaurants are near by, some with live music. It’s brilliantly located as it’s not far from the airport, Bridgetown and other local attractions. Holly was generous and friendly, always ready to help and offer advice.
There is so much more we can say but hope this gave you an appetite to come and enjoy this unique place. It’s a real jem.

We loved our stay at Turtles Nest in the Happy Hatchlings apartment. We would certainly return. Top 5 things were:
1) The amazing location. It is right on a quiet end of Dover beach. You're on the beach within a few seconds of walking out your door. Beach chairs are provided just inside a locked gate. You just carry your chair out on to the sand and when you're done for the day you bring it back on to the Turtle Nest property. The water is relatively calm and a beautiful turquiose colour. Some areas have some coral but other areas of the beach and water are all sand so take your pick. Also the beach is a great place to watch the sunset.
2) The amazing location again - TN (Turtles Nest) is walking distance to all the restaurants and bars of St Lawrence Gap and there is a small grocery store (Dover Market), bakery, and other street vendors all less than a minute away. Also there is free parking for 1 vehicle which we took advantage of. It was a relatively short drive to Bridgetown, Holetown/St James, etc. and easy to get to the south and east coast (Bathsheba, Crane, Bottom Bay, etc.).
3) Happy Hatchlings is a clean and relatively spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom (1 master with ensuite, 2 bedrooms share second bathroom). The bedrooms aren't huge but a reasonable size and the bathrooms were a good size too with very large showers. It was nicely furnished with a beach and turtle vibe. What we loved about this apartment is the very large outdoors space. When we had to quarantine upon arrival or when the government locked everything down (9pm curfew, beaches closed - but you could still be in the water) we had our own private oasis with the balcony above providing some overhead cover of the outdoor dining and sofa/lounge area where each area perfectly seats 6 people. There is a bbq too which we used on a few occasions. You also have your own washer and dryer which came in handy for us.
4) Turtles - every single day right in front of the area where you enter the beach from TN, there are turtles in the water often within 10-20 feet of shore. They are everywhere. While the coral isn't in great shape and covered in sand due to the waves, this is where the Turtles hang out. Bring your snorkel gear. They are easy to see.
5) Holly - host/owner/travel guide - Holly helped arrange transport from the airport as well as the fast track service. She also has a very useful book/guide in the apartment with lots of recommendations for restaurants, rental cars, scuba/snorkel, etc. She was very accommodating with our dates as due to airline cancellations and government policy changes back home we had to make slight modifications to our dates. She also did our initial grocery shopping run for us based on a list we provided. That was extremely helpful since we were arriving on a holiday and had to quarantine upon arrival.

Wonderful apartments in a great location. The beach is just seconds away and there are several different restaurant and bar options throughout St. Lawrence Gap. Beautifully furnished, with the kitchen fully equipped making cooking very easy. Happy Hatchlings has a large outdoor area with a hammock, barbeque and plenty of outdoor seating. Holly, the manager, was very helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend and hope to be back soon!

My family and I stayed at turtles nest beach apartments for a week. We have come to Barbados more times then we can count and I have to say turtles nest was one of our favourite places to stay. The owners were so inviting and the place has been designed and decorated beautifully. Each apartment has everything you need and the thought that went into the details and design was well thought out, not to mention it’s situated in the perfect place. The property is quiet, well maintained and right on the beach, the ocean breeze and the beach chairs are the perfect touch to have a beautiful relaxing vacation. I would highly recommend staying here and without a doubt will be back in the next couple of months.

We love the ambience of this lovely ‘home away from home’. In our minds, we felt a restful feeling as we looked on at the layout from the kitchen through to the bath and bedrooms. We love all that you afforded us to enjoy. Turtles Nest Beach Apartments is a definite addition to our staycation list.

An absolute treasure to discover. Our family of four have had a wonderful time here at Turtles Nest . The condos and their amenities are thoughtfully laid out. We love all the Bajan art work displayed in its many different facets and have a new-found appreciation. It evoked a sense of pride and a personal touch to us as a Bajan family. Thanks to Tammy who exhibited professionalism and a warm personality throughout and grateful to have had interaction with the owners themselves. Turtles Nest Beach Apartments is now added to our list as our “home away from home”.

We didn’t want to leave! Our family of 4 extremely enjoyed our stay at the brand-new Turtles Nest – Clear Waters. We especially loved the proximity to the beach, it was literally steps to Dover Beach with a secure private gate from the property to the most gorgeous beach. With beach chairs, a cooler, towels and boogie boards ALL provided with the unit, we spent the majority of our time lazing on the beach watching the turtle swim by (not kidding). The kitchen is VERY well appointed with multiple, high quality pots and pans, utensils and easy to clean. The laundry is also a very good size. The guest book is one of the best we have ever read, very comprehensive with all the details you need and even history about the building. The artist owners have done an amazing job with the renovation down to the smallest detail, making the space homely and stylish at the same time. David, Lynn and Tammy from Caribbean Island Properties went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us. Personally delivering our passports with our new visas helped us out immensely. Tammy was always there on WhatsApp whenever we needed anything and to organize the housekeeper who came once during our 9 night stay (a treat for an Airbnb!). We had so much good food form nearby restaurants, out favourite being Irie Foods – authentic Jamaican across the road – so delicious. St Lawrence Gap has so many great options for fresh seafood or simple (English) breakfasts. Within a 10-15 minute walks there are some great options all detailed in the guest book. Barry’s surf school was a 2 minute walk and we thoroughly enjoyed a lesson with the kids for 2 hours. Highly recommend them too. Like I said – wish we could stay, we miss Barbados and Turtles Nest so much already!

Beautiful Barbados! Turtles Nest has captured the look and feel of an exceptional seaside retreat. Located in the lively St Lawrence Gap, tucked away in a quiet corner on Dover Beach. We enjoyed our morning beach walks, evening Gap strolls and the true luxury of Clear Water Turtles Nest. Looking forward to many return trips.

This place definitely exceeded our expectations! Everything was beautiful and the place was spotless! Beds and pillows were comfy and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The staff were fabulous and they checked in to ensure we were doing okay and if we needed anything. This resort was perfectly located on Dover Beach with lounge chairs and beach towels provided. Walking the St. Lawrence Gap in the morning and evenings was so enjoyable! Several places to eat and in many cases, entertainment provided. There are small grocery stores steps away and if you do not wish to travel the island extensively, car rental is not necessary. Taxis available right outside the door step! We cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Turtles Nest and we will definitely be returning next year!

Wow where to start? - The most beautiful apartments in the whole of St Lawrence Gap and in the perfect location. We were very lucky to be the first guests to stay at Turtles Nest ‘Sandy Tracks’ and what a magnificent holiday we had !! On arrival we were greeted by David who looks after the management of the apartments, David was very friendly and kind he made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was spotless, very light and modern and so spacious. The kitchen was well thought out, it had every utility accessory you could think of. Even provided you with tea and coffee. Coffee machine also included although we didn’t get round to using it. Beds were very comfy, bathrooms fully equipped with towels and hairdryers, even had complimentary soaps like you would get in a hotel !! We had our very own private court yard equipped with a table and chairs. A huge Smart TV for when you want a quiet night in or a rest from the sunshine. Saving the best to last.. LOCATION: 5*****, Turtles Nest is literally on Dover Beach and has immediate access to through a locked private gate straight. I counted one morning and from my bed to the beach was 15 seconds!!! Now you cant get much better than that. If you love to relax in the Caribbean sun on a beautiful white beach then Turtles Nest is the perfect choice (The only choice in my opinion). Me and my family loved to swim with the turtles every day, such beautiful creatures and we truly fell in love with them. My tip if your looking to swim with them, go out first thing in the morning between 8-10am, swim in the ‘rockier’ parts by the tree’s and you will see loads of turtles. We were told by the locals this is where they come to eat, which we did see with our under water camera. Most of the turtles are very tame and don’t mind u swimming beside them (Don’t touch or aggravate them as this is their home and would be a shame to scare them off). Thank you to David, Tammy and all the team in being great hosts. we thoroughly enjoyed a stay at Turtles Nest. Any small problems we had was dealt with super quick and efficiently. The whole team were friendly and kind to us and made our stay enjoyable. Beautiful apartments in a beautiful location. We truly fell in love with Barbados and it’s with thanks to this luxury stay at Turtles Nest. Were looking forward to our next stay :) Love Ellie, Aaron, Paul & Sue xxx
